Shape memory polymer (SMP)-based transfer printing offers a promising route for heterogeneous integration of flexible electronics, yet non-contact release reliability remains a critical bottleneck. This study systematically investigates the influence of pickup heating modes—localized versus global—on the release yield and energy-delivery mechanisms through combined experiments and finite element simulations. The localized heating mode concentrates strain energy at the interface, enabling controlled chip ejection with high yield, whereas global heating dissipates energy, leading to release failure. Quantitative analysis reveals that localized heating achieves a release yield of 100% under optimized conditions, compared to near-zero for global heating. The ejection velocity under localized heating is higher, which may induce chip bouncing on the receiver substrate, affecting transfer accuracy; however, this can be mitigated by adjusting release gap and laser parameters. The findings establish a theoretical framework for energy pathway design, providing guidelines for achieving high-yield, accurate non-contact release in laser-induced transfer printing. This work advances the practical application of SMP-based transfer printing for micro-LED displays and flexible electronics, addressing a key manufacturing bottleneck.

Oral leukoplakia (OLK) is a prevalent premalignant lesion with malignant transformation risk. Current adhesive hydrogels lack lesion-specific adhesion and precision therapy. We synthesized DNA hydrogels via co-crosslinking of thiolated gelatin and thiolated oligonucleotide through disulfide bonds, incorporating Mn2+ and chlorin e6 (Ce6) via thiol-metal coordination and physical entrapment. Low-frequency ultrasound (LFUS) anchored complementary oligonucleotides onto the lesion surface, enabling site-specific bioadhesion through base pairing. Under high-frequency ultrasound (HFUS), Ce6 generated reactive oxygen species, triggering mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) release in hyperproliferative epithelial cells. Concurrent HFUS accelerated Mn2+ release, potentiating cGAS recognition of cytosolic mtDNA and activating the cGAS-STING pathway. This induced dendritic cell maturation, priming naïve T cells into cytotoxic T lymphocytes, reversing the immunosuppressive microenvironment. The modality induced immunological memory, restraining OLK recurrence and impeding malignant transformation. This study introduces the first DNA-directed hydrogel bioadhesion strategy and proposes unprecedented cGAS-STING pathway-associated immunotherapy against OLK.

Traditional excitation-emission matrix (EEM) fluorescence spectroscopy suffers from prolonged scanning times, data redundancy, high instrument cost, and bulkiness, hindering rapid on-site water pollution source tracing. This study proposes a novel classification method combining fixed characteristic excitation wavelength scanning with support vector machine (SVM) to enhance efficiency. A total of 180 EEM samples were collected from six pollution source categories: chemical fiber dyeing and finishing, wool textile dyeing and finishing, leather processing, metal surface processing, papermaking, and domestic sewage. Parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC) identified characteristic fluorescent components and excitation wavelengths. Correlation analysis and feature importance analysis further reduced these to seven characteristic excitation wavelengths. SVM and random forest (RF) models were constructed using both the reduced and original EEM datasets. Results demonstrated that models based on the seven characteristic excitation wavelengths maintained high recognition accuracy while significantly improving efficiency. The SVM model achieved the best performance, with runtime reduced from 243.05 s to 34.56 s (an 86% decrease) and recognition accuracy reaching 94.4%. Precision, recall, and F1-score metrics confirmed the robust performance of SVM with characteristic wavelengths, particularly for metal surface processing wastewater. This study provides an efficient and reliable method for rapid water pollution tracing by simplifying EEM scanning and integrating SVM, offering high application value. Future work will optimize feature selection strategies and explore additional sample categories and model combinations to broaden applicability.

The performance of industrial zeolite catalysts, exemplified by fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts, is governed by microscopic behaviors including mass transfer, acidity, and coking. Conventional characterization techniques such as XRD, N2 physisorption, and TPD provide bulk-averaged or static ex situ information, failing to resolve dynamic processes under realistic reaction conditions. Recent advances in super-resolution fluorescence imaging enable nanoscale visualization of these key processes. This review systematically summarizes three critical applications: (1) Mass transfer diffusion: heterogeneous diffusion of reactant molecules within hierarchical pore networks is revealed, quantifying diffusion barriers and tortuosity. (2) Acid site accessibility: nanoscale localization of acid sites and their accessibility is achieved, correlating with catalytic activity. (3) Coking behavior: spatiotemporal evolution of coke species is identified, linking coke precursors to deactivation. The review elaborates how super-resolution imaging deepens understanding of fundamental catalytic mechanisms, providing theoretical support for rational design of high-performance catalysts through pore structure optimization, acid site regulation, and coking suppression. Current challenges and future directions are discussed, emphasizing the need for in situ correlation with catalytic performance.

Carbon source is a critical factor driving heterotrophic denitrification, yet the low carbon-to-nitrogen ratio (C/N) of livestock wastewater limits this process. This study developed novel composite carbon sources by combining corncob (CC) and polycaprolactone (PCL). Static carbon release and denitrification experiments were conducted to evaluate carbon release patterns and nitrogen removal performance. Results showed that the carbon release index (n) was below 0.45, indicating Fickian diffusion as the dominant release mechanism. The composite carbon source prepared at a CC:PCL mass ratio of 3:2 (denoted YP4) achieved a nitrate nitrogen removal efficiency of 94.76%, with effluent ammonia nitrogen meeting the discharge limits of GB 18596-2001. High-throughput sequencing revealed that YP4 increased the relative abundance of genera capable of denitrification and biopolymer degradation (e.g., Aeromonas, Novosphingobium, Bacteroides, and Clostridium sensu stricto), thereby enhancing heterotrophic denitrification and nitrogen removal. These findings provide a novel approach for selecting and preparing external carbon sources for biological heterotrophic denitrification of low C/N wastewater.

Microplastics in sewage sludge, owing to their diverse physicochemical properties, can differentially affect subsequent anaerobic digestion. This study focused on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) microplastics, systematically investigating the effects of particle (MP), fiber (MF), and film (MPF) morphologies at concentrations of 0–150 mg·g⁻¹ (based on total solids) on sludge digestion performance and microbial community structure. Results showed that MP inhibited total biogas production at all concentrations (inhibition rates 8.16%–9.58%), whereas MF and MPF exhibited low-concentration stimulation and high-concentration inhibition, with MPF exerting stronger inhibition than MF. All MP concentrations induced significant reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation (increases of 9.43%–34.52%), indicating the strongest oxidative stress. Low concentrations of PET generally enhanced cell membrane permeability, prompting microbes to secrete different extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) to resist stress. The morphology and concentration of microplastics regulated the relative abundances of key functional bacteria (e.g., proteolytic bacteria and organic acid-oxidizing bacteria) and low-abundance bacteria, ultimately leading to differences in digestion performance. This study provides a theoretical basis for efficient treatment of sludge containing microplastics.

Recovering gold from electronic waste (e-waste) is critical for sustainable resource management, yet conventional adsorbents suffer from poor acid stability and slow kinetics. Here, we report an acid-resistant cationic covalent organic framework (COF), TAPT-TNV, synthesized via irreversible Zincke reaction. TAPT-TNV exhibits exceptional stability in concentrated acids, retaining crystallinity and porosity after exposure to 12 M HCl and 6 M HNO3. The cationic skeleton, balanced by Cl− counterions, enables rapid and selective capture of AuCl4− through anion exchange, complemented by chemical reduction at triazine units. Adsorption kinetics are fast, reaching equilibrium within 30 minutes, with a maximum capacity of 1835.5 mg g−1 at pH 1. In real e-waste leachate, TAPT-TNV achieves a gold recovery rate of 99.42%, demonstrating high selectivity over competing metal ions. This work introduces a robust COF platform for precious metal recovery, addressing the limitations of hydrolytically unstable frameworks.
